Community Property

Property acquired by a married couple during marriage, with each having an undivided one-half interest in the property by reason of the fact that they are married. Most states are considered Common Law Property states. However, the following states are Community Property States:

  • Arizona
  • California
  • Idaho
  • Louisiana
  • Nevada
  • New Mexico
  • Texas
  • Washington
  • Wisconsin

Married GoGo Estate customers from any of these states will have slightly different plans due the need to plan around community property laws.
